The sun was setting Strings pulled on her heart Pressure against her chest Her breathing rapid and irregular She couldn't catch her breath Waning strength Exhaustion creating beads of prespiration Pushing against the pain It towered above her small frame Slowly crushing the breath from her lungs The weight of every word telling her to forgive Forget her pain, experience, and abuse against her.
